9800XT's Processor is as well faster, as it was on 412MHz opposed to 9800PRO's on 380, plus u can over clock 980oXT with ATI's oen drivers as well, which wasnt available in 9800PRO series.

also, XT was a new chip, RV350 chip for 9800PRO's and RV360 for 9800XT. XT series is still well recomended chipset in ATi's.

my ingenious plan was to get the 9800 pro and eventually overclock it to a 9800 xt..i have seen tests that show a 9800 pro can be overclocked to pretty much the same as that of a stock 9800xt...with just a small shortcoming like a few FPS
