but where does the fan go? i don't get how it mounts to the heat sink... or are they just giving you one for your case because they're nice? ^_~

and thanks for the reassurance with the cooler ^_^ you're my hero trotter! *^_^*

The fan mounts on the face of the cooler using wire clips.

Here's a link to the manual for the cooler. The installation is the same as for a LGA 775, but would use the LGA 1366 bracket instead of the one that comes with the cooler.

sad news... I have to go to work now and newegg still hasn't made my GPU available for purchase (they said its "ETA" was today at 11:36am) *taps foot*

oh well... I'll have to try again tomorrow and hopefully i won't lose out on too many sales because it being the end of the month. *shrug* who knows tho... perhaps there will be some better deals for my components in November.
