sorry for the noobish question... but...

How do u fully Format a Harddrive.. because i need to sell this 80GB HD.. and i need to format it so its clean.. and ive never formatted a harddrive b4 (obviously)... so if someone could easily explain this to me.. i would HIGHLY appreciate it!! thanks

download a 98 bootdisk from www.bootdisk.com and put it on a floppy

then boot your computer with this floppydisk and type "format d:" or "format e:" or "format c:" depending on wich one is your 80gb hd

u need to exeute the file and I think it will tell u what to do.

after bootin the floppy, make sure u are formatting the right drive!!! just type d: or c: and see wich one is 80GB

did u first start the file u downloaded or did u put the entire file on ur floppy?

well i saved it onto my desktop.. and then when i double clicked on the icon.. it said for me to insert the Floppy to write it on the Floppy...

so thats good.... and see i already shipped the RAM out along time ago cuz i sold it to someone.. so am i just gonna have to hook it up to someones computer ( a friends) and format it or somethin... how would i go about that??
