Is this a good price for a pre-built pc?

For 740 euros. Is it a good or bad price?

Gaming. To be honest it seemed an easier route and less hassle to buy a pre built one as I live in ireland, and getting stuff shipped is a ***** and I will be ****** if it goes to customs. I've had 2 1gb sticks of ram for my laptop shipped for around 40 euros for both, and then they go into customs for 70 euros.. It's ridiculous.

That's why I went for buying a pre built from a Dublin company, although they do offer components.. if you would like to show me a better DIY computer for 740, use Marx Computers - Irelands best value PC parts retailer (which is where I found the computer in the OP)

If you can scarpe up more for the next model with the phenom at 810 you'd be much better..

The 8200 isn't that great of a chip, and the 9600 isnt that powerful.

If you could take the €810 build, drop it to a tricore, and up the gpu you'd be smoken.

That totals to 628 not including shipping. That leaves you with around 110 for a PSU, Case, Optical drive and any accessories you need. I'd try some other site for that stuff because what they had seemed over priced and not too great of selection regardless. Also the mother board isn't the greatest but they don't have a great selection so if there's another site with better selection that's always an option.

If you want to stick with the Intel and go ddr3, here is the best I could come up with. Oh and it has a better graphics card (not by that much but still)...

i found this irish computer website which seems to have much better prices. I found the 4890 for 180 incl. vat, and the 5770 150 incl. vat, but the 5770 is not currently in stock. You could probably spec out a better build from that website, or are you limited to only that previous website?

As long as it is actually in ireland and I don't have to pay ridiculous shipping costs, or I can drive within 3-4 hours to pick it up, I can use any site.
