How many watts shopuld a decwent power supply have for a gaming PC

Right now you should change nothing... or buy it initially with the better psu.

You don't need it now... and unless you have the upgrade money right now... prices drop all the time, and is a crappy ideas to do it now.

So 450 watts is decent for now? I plan on buying a mediocre graphics card, then I'll upgrade to a more powerful one when I get into serious gaming.

And guys, what do people use HDMI's ports for in their PCs? Do they hook up blu rays to them lol?

That won't even need 450W. The HDMI ports on cards are going to be output only eg monitors, TV etc

Right.

I have a friend who runs it with 350, duo core and 2 HDD.
