Unfortunately with this mobo the 2nd slot is the master and the top the slave... I have no idea why they did that. Thanks for the positive votes guys I actually expected lower

His bridge is quite close to the pci-e slot, so maybe heat related.

That makes sense...I can't afford any more heat on anything. Is that weird place for the bridge to be placed? That gives me something to look at when I do a new set up in the future if a xfire/sli set up comes in to play...
