I am not sure on the price but me, my little bro, and my mom all got VAIOs and my home PC is running Windows 7 and they do not get along very nice. From what I have read Sony's BIOS is not compatible with Windows 7. I can not do any type of network file sharing or remote access. I am not sure what will happen if the VAIO tries to run Windows 7?? If you can I would try and wait it out a little,just to be on the safe side. O and my dad has an HP and I got no problem with the network file sharing.
