sound problems !

hi,
i bought a computer on ebay, i scanned the pc using belarc advisor. it says i have a High Definition Audio Device. the problem i have is when i play games when something loud happen the speaker or headphone stop working and the sound setting change into digital out put device instead of speaker.
what is the problem ?

Maybe a driver Problem , try to download the latest driver ,,
If didn't work !

where can i download latest driver? what is driver ?

check the model of ur sound card ( if integrated sound then find the motherboard model) and dowblaod the driver from the manufacturer website - for example : creative soundblaster - go to creative .com

2. disable ur built in sound card in BIOS - if u have additional soundcard

It's probably a Realtek Hi-Def chip. Try these drivers. They won't install if a realtek chip isn't located.
