$1100 budget, possible new rig needed.

Hello all, i'm back to building a new computer, i have no problems assembling and stuff like that, BUT!, i'm out of the loop on the newest and best items and parts on the market (Ie cases, processors, video cars, ram, psu's etc)

I would like to ask the community for help in giving me some insights on what's good right now, what's coming out when?, what is cheap. i have a ten year old computer which i had bought and rebuilt, upgraded, but it is not cutting it anymore.

Alongside the build i will need a monitor.

With a budget of that much, I'd recommend a core i5 build. Get a modest motherboard and the i5 750 and you'll be good to go for years.
