It depends, in terms of gaming, what kind of video cards do you think you will be getting, and what do you think you will be using in the future? If you never plan on using SLI or XFire, I would say theres little incentive to spend the extra money on the i7 920.
I probably wont be using SLI. With the money I have now... I dont think I would even build this pc until this summer :/ I just realized I need a car for college first.
Well, the only people that really need the bloomfield version of Core i7 are people that would benefit from triple channel memory (very very very few), and people who plan on using high end cards in SLI; aside from that, the price to performance ratio can't be beat with the new lynnfield chips.
