Desktop turns on automatically??

Ok so first the video wasent working so i opened it up and also seen the the heat sink fan was broken so i got a new heat sink and video card. i opened up the case to put the heat sink in, and yes i did use proper grounding and thermal paste. then i took out the old video card that was in their and i replaced it with a newer one that required the 6-pin Pci-express power so i plugged that in. when i went to plug it in, it turned on automatically and the softpower switch wasent working, so i tried messing around with the switch connections to the motherboard and that didnt help. so now the video doesnt work and it turns on automatically.

Just wondering if anybody came up with any idea as to why this is happening? if nothing then im just going to go with the Motherboard being bad. sorry to repost on my own post but im kind of in a hurry with this situation. thanks for all the help so far.
