Hello everyone!
I bought a Gateway M-1625 in May of 2008 and am having problems. It just shuts down on me for no reason. I ended up buying a new Dell a month ago and have been working on and off on my Gateway. I believe I have it narrowed down to a heat issue. If I hang the left side off of table it runs without shutting down. The left side gets extremely hot. I decided to take the cover off of the fan area, set it on a chiller and not one problem. I have taken a pic and that copper piece I have outlined gets smoking hot. I can see where heat is probably the issue now. Hopefully someone here can help me out. Thanks!
Well, I guess I can't post an attachment, oh well.

25 Sep 2009 01:40:51 PM Anish_GWSI700 says: Okay. I will guide you through the process. The onside shipping(return) is covered in the repair. It is required to provide the credit card details for the payment.

25 Sep 2009 01:49:36 PM Mark says: You can see now why I purchased 2 HP's and a Dell instead of another Gateway. Buying the Gateway was a HUGE mistake to begin with and I should have stayed with HP like I have always done. Poor business practice. We have had HP's for years and never, ever ran into an issue. The only reason we got rid of them was to upgrade.
