Well, I put it together last tuesday. I ended up going with the EVGA X58 SLI LE MOBO, an EVGA GeForce 260 GTX, 6 GB of 1600 RAM, the Antec 900 case, and the i7 920 Nehalem.
The graphics card was DOA, couldn't get a signal from it. Had a few strange start-ups, but the kinks seemed to iron themselves out. Worrisome, though, that in my excitement I neglected to notice that the crappy stock fan for the CPU was blocking itself with a wire and preventing itself from turning (GREAT design). Fortunately all it ever did was boot and then get shut off again because I wasn't getting a signal.
I fixed it, and used an old 7300 to confirm it was the graphics card that needed replacing. Should be getting a new one in the mail tomorrow from EVGA. I installed Windows 7 beta and one of my games.
Should I be worried about my CPU? It seemed to work just fine when I fixed it and installed windows, etc.
