now i cant format or actually see whats on the usb stick. everything freezes
when i try to right click on it.
can this be solved using regedit or some other program?
everything i googled didn't help-
even acronis freezes up when i try to start it with usb stick in.
thanx.

Is this a empty USB Stick?

Moved to Windows. Not a hardware issue.

What version of Win7 are you using? Start>run>winver

Take a screen shot of it and upload it to Imageshack or Photobucket.

I know there are some issues with ReadyBoost in the RC Builds. It was fixed for the final. You could be coming across this bug.

What are your PC Specs and what is the size of the USB Thumb Drive?

the specs are HP 6830s laptop, Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 2.26, 4 GB memory
and the usb stick is 1 GB.

Alright well 2 things.

1. We cant help you. Build 7127 was not released by Microsoft to the public and therefor it has to be a pirated copy. As such we can not offer support for it.
2. If you haev 4GB of RAM ReadyBoost, especially a 1GB USB thumb Drive, will not offer you any extra benefit.

Since the Win7 RC Build 7100 is not longer available for download and Win7 RTM is due out in a month there is nothing we can do.
