This AMD build equals up to about 300.00 with shipping and handling included.
This sounds like a better fit but don't know how much I would lack in more new intense applications.
Currently My celeron dual core cannot keep up as much thats why I am looking into a quad core cpu.

Right now I have 50.00 stored at home I will get my check this friday and will hide another 75.00 from each check until the end of october.
I just put a ad in the news paper yesterday afternoon I am selling the main pc for 210.00 the hp which I rebuilt up for less than 110.00. does that seem fair ?

Would someone help me out which options are best suited for a budget of 350.00 dollars ?

Why not save up until you can just get a really nice rig and so you don't have to compromise with 1gb of value ram or a ****ty bundled psu..

Thanks everyone for your help especially to kmote and trotter.
Can I please scrap out that case trotter picked out and the 160gb seagate and put in a dvd burner:Newegg.com - LITE-ON Black 24X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 24X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 12X DVD-RAM 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 32X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM SATA DVD/CD Writer LightScribe Support - CD / DVD Burners

I prefer the foxconn case I picked I will buy another 430psu on black friday in november, I forgot to mention that I will be keeping my ATI radeon X600 256mb pci express graphics card.

I'd recommend against a Lite-On drive, sure they are cheap, but they are loud, and they don't exactly last as long as the other competitors.

But Foxconn isn't a known brand in PSU's, I wouldn't be shocked if it was cheap and it took out your rig.

Cheaping out a PSU is the worst possible thing to cheap out on a rig.

Well do me a favor, would you find me a nice black and silver case without the big bolts on the sides and I'll pay for it.
No offence, but the last time I ordered a rosewill PSU back in 2007 with my old celeron d 347 and again for last christmas, both of them were dead and ****less and rosewill did not vouch for me to send it in to get a replacement or refund through them or newegg.com so forget about rosewill.

Newegg.com - Rosewill R223-P-BK 120mm Fan ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Computer Cases
Newegg.com - COOLER MASTER Elite 460 RS-460-PSAR-J3 460W ATX12V V2.31 Power Supply - Power Supplies

btw, if you buy the 160gb hdd you want seperately from the mobo, together they will total $100. Trotter's combo has the same mobo and a 500gb hdd for $98. seems like an easy choice to make imo.

Thanks dude, but like I said I won't be needing a second hdd which is 160gb hdd if I'll be going for 500gbs.
Looked at your rosewill case you picked out it looks good and I might consider it.

Kmote, are you quite serious about me getting this ?
Newegg.com - Linkworld 43701-229FU Black/ Champaign Gold Steel MicroATX Mini Tower Computer Case - Computer Cases
My cockerspaniel would take less than 3 minutes knocking this computer around dead and me ending up in prison for shooting him over it.

Thanks again for all your help guys, if both pc's sell over the next 4 weeks I'll plan on buying everything before october 21st other wise I'll wait for newegg to have a sale near or after thanksgiving.
