Most of you know by now I like the celeron series except the socket 478 versions.
I highly like the Pentium 3 saga and and Athlon XP saga as I was given one to keep until I moved on to the intel LGA 775 series mobo's.

I'm a huge fan of the new stuff from AMD, particularly the AMD Athlon II X4 620. You can't really beat a good Quad for $100 :D.

The JHA06 GT is solid board. :)
 
Out of the few I have used to date, Athlon XP 2600+. Watching my 4 year old eMachines do better multitasking than my father-in-laws new dual core (Intel based) was priceless. He spent a little over $1,300 on that computer. I spent $140...

Out of the boards I have used to do, my M3A76-GM. Actually this is the best board I have used to date. Most boards I have personally used have been OEM crap.
 
Honestly, I would say the Athlon 64s and X2 64s (s939). They took up where the Athlons left off and kept right on running. It was the 64s that forced Intel to get off their collective {butts] and make something worth using.

As for motherboards, the DFI line of nForce s939s. Nothing could touch them. I'm still using one. ;)

Of course, the old socket A Athlons were pretty awesome, too.
