Not exactly...

Both rigs have the same RAM amount (4GB), both have 1TB of HD Space, the Geforce 9300 sucks really really really bad, TV Tuner cards and Remotes are relatively cheap and so are 16-in-1 Card readers. And his processor fails in compared to the ones recommended here.

Internet ready hardware? What do you mean by that? I mean our rig's board has an Ethernet port.
