Hi I was wondering if anyone knew why this is happening:
For some reason windows media player started jumping like a record player.
After an hour of troubleshooting, because I have a Hyperthreading processor, I had to force Windows Media player to use 'CPU0'.
The sound worked fine using both CPU 0 and 1 for quite a while, but I had the same problem when I was running WIndows Server 2003 on this machine (Now running WIndows XP Home). Then sudenly right in the middle of a MP3, it started again. I disabled hardware accelleration and it worked fine. Then after a bit more playing i found it worked fine when I didnt allow WM to use CPU 1 in the Task Manager/Processes thingy.
Does anyone out there know why this is happening, and what the possible solution is?
Cheers,
Bruce
