I'm trying to install a second HDD.

It's a 250gb SATA HDD, and my power supply needed an adapter to be able to power it, so i went to the computer store and bought a 4 prong adapter that should fit my power supply cable, but i can't find the cable in the giant mess that is the inside of my PC.

Also, my main HDD is IDE.

I have a HEC Power Supply, i think..

Can anyone help me in identifying where the adapter should be plugged in?

Thanks!

Is this what you are talking about?

If so the white end plugs into a matching end on your psu's cable and the black end goes into the hard drive.

Your motherboard does support sata correct?
