Hello, I'd appreciate if someone could help me...here is my dilemma..
My granddaughter built a pc for me four yrs ago...two months ago the motherboard broke and my son talked me into buying apple iMac. Didn't like it so sold it at a loss last week.
Our local PC repair man told me to try and buy the exact model mb and all my problems would be solved.
I was able to buy one on ebay ($100) and had him install it. Thought all my problems were solved. WRONG
Now there is no audio, I have to turn pc on & off till it finally is on screen and sometimes the keyboard doesn't work. The screen will read....Please check signal cable. That is when I turn pc on & off a few times till it works.
So I have decided to buy some parts and bring them to repair man and have him put it together for me. (Maybe I need a new PC repair man too)
Below is what I have now.....
Intel Pentium 4
Asus P4S800D-E Deluxe SIS655TX R mother board
Seagate 160GB / 7200/ 8MB / Internal ATA hard drive
ATI Radeon 9600XT Video Care, 128MB DDR, 128-BIT, DVI/TV-Out, 8X AGP
Kingston 184 Pin 512MB DDR PC-3200 (two of these)
Antec 430W power supply
Zalman CNPS7000A CPU Cooler
Lianli PC-6083A Silver Case
ALPS 3.5 ince Floppy Disk Drive
CD disk thingy (can't find paperwork)
