First time builder lookin for advice

his is my first build ever. trying to make something for my wife. she's a big gamer and reeeeally into CG.

This is what I've come up with so far.

I've never done an overclocking but I've alot of discussion about whether to go with

her resolution is usually set at 1280by960 but she games at 1152by864.

Mostly I'm lookin for advice on if what I picked is gonna cause capatability issues and part selection.

Replace your RAM with these

(Its the same specs as the 2nd Mushkin, but its priced a little more than the first kid.. and you're getting some great RAM for the price)

With this stuff though she should be playing at 1280x960 constantly

All in all, if I'd get a DDR3/AM3 rig, that's pretty much what I'd be looking at too.

If you wanted to save some cash, or get some more to get something like a GTX285 you could get a smaller PSU than that.

Its a very good one, but you dont need that much power unless you plan to have SLI or Xfire.

You could get this instead and it would still be enough for a hd4890 or gtx285:

Ya I'm looking at Xfireing it later. why I made sure I found a board that would dual x16

if you plan to xfire 4890's, the corsair 750w will be plenty.

also, you can find cheaper boards that are am3 and support xfire. any gigabyte, asus, biostar mobos would be good.
