pc chips m810lr processor upgrade

Hello all, i've searched for an answer for this for quite some time now and im hoping someone here can assist me.

i have the mobo stated above. it has an Athlon 1.33ghz proc in it right now. what i need to know is, what is the fastest processor i can put in this thing and have it still work properly?

i have looked at other boards and seen one person that put a Duron 1600 in theirs. Others say that it can take up to an A.XP 2400. i'd like to get it around 1.8-2.0 ghz if i can. so the 2400 would be great. but i dont know if it can handle it. What info do i need to provide so someone can help me out?



now, i know i should get a new board and proc and ram and all but that is money that i cant put out right now.....

if u ask me..

waiting is your best option,no point in getting a CPU with a shitty mobo, and then 6 months or so down the track upgrade again.

wait till u have the money and get it all at once is what i would do.

i just need that extra few hundred mhz to play MxO in 2 months. i'd much rather spend $50 on a new proc then $250+ on a board/proc/ram.

i have had no problems with this board at all. it has served me well.

Wouldnt the board's manual tell you the range of chips you could put in it?
