Why is it so hard being lazy?

I never had a media center system or OS, but there isn't anyway to turn it off with a mouse? Or do you not use mice for those pc's? Sorry for being such a noob.

lol, media center's are no more different than a normal pc, just usually they are hooked up to a TV instead of a monitor. and no the only thing i can do with my mouse as far as turning on and off the pc is just waking it up from standby with a double click.
