Good config for assembled PC

Hi all,
Please help me out in selecting good configuration for assembled PC. I used to work on graphics related softwares like Autocad, 3DsMAX, Revit 09 etc. What should be desirable configuration?

You will have to increase your budget a little. About $700 should buy you a good enough PC to work on.

Btw the $700 will not include a monitor, just the tower components.

Do you have any old parts ie dvd drive, hard drive that can be used in this new computer?

Newegg has a great combo deal right now. But you will certainly have to increase your budget.
