Ok I just recently installed a new motherboard and processor into my computer and had to buy a fresh copy of win xp home (would have got Pro but didn't have the extra $100). Now, when I put in a dvd into my dvd rom drive it says that windows Media Player 10 is missing the codecs needed to play it and directs me to a site where I can buy some for $15 bucks. I have downloaded the latest firmware for my Dvd drive and I have never encountered this problem before on my previous setup. Am I going to really have to pay 15 bucks just to use my dvd or what. I'm trying to do this without pirating anything so if no one can give me a legal solution to my problem by all means tell me what software to look out for.
Thanks JpG
