motherboard and ram

i have this really old peice of junk dell and i would like to know if there is a way to tweak it to accept much more ram

right now it has 3 slots but i dont believe it will handle the 1g sticks so i want to solder the **** out of it so it will accept them

how would i go about this or is it not possible?

Unfortunately soldering won't help.

However, maybe its time to consider a whole new system? If you re-use some things, you can get a basic barebones rig to replace the stuff in your rig rather cheaply.
