That's a laptop drive, hikari. Newegg.com - Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD5000AAKB 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache IDE Ultra ATA100 3.5" Internal Hard Drive - Internal Hard Drives
EDIT:
Newegg.com - SYBA SD-VIA-1A2S PCI SATA / IDE Combo Controller Card RAID 0,1,0+1 JBOD - Controllers / RAID Cards
and
Newegg.com - HITACHI Deskstar P7K500 HDP725050GLA360 (0A35415) 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive - Internal Hard Drives
work out cheaper. IDE drives are expensive it seems.
Sorry for warming up this old thread, but I still have a question (I want to order a new HDD for my old PC this week).
What is the por/con of getting an IDE controller card and a SATA drive versus getting a HDD with an IDE connection? Is it just a difference in price and it's basically the same for the rest?
