pc restarts because of gl

i have a computer:

1666MHz AMD Athlon XP
ABITNF7M
MD445123208 PQI DDR DIMM 512MB DDR400 32*8 CL3

i set to use 32 ram for my video card. i tried to use default drivers from cd and the newest from internet.

xp pro sp2

but nothing helped - when i start quake2 with gl, computer restarts automatically.

what should i do ?

First of all, this is a pretty sensless post....why post something like this ???

Now, for your problem karlsonas, has quake2 GL ever worked for you, or is this a new problem? Your video card might not support it, if it is say and Intel Integrated, or something similar.

it supports it, i sometimes can play up to 10-15 min before my system restarts. and sometimes it restarts just when i start the game. whats for sure that there is no problem with overheating.
any ideas ?

you try running direct 3d instead of open gl, what kind of video card do you have in your machine? is it integrated? Also, do you have any problems with other games. Quake 2 is one old game, i remember play Action Quake ( a mod for Q2)
