ati 3650 vs ati 3850

Hello, I am upgrading my graphics card since my previous 6600gt went south.

Although I am stuck at making a choice between the ati 3650 (agp) and the 3850 (agp).

My computer specs are:

Amd Athlon xp 3200+
1 gig drr1 ram
asus a7v600-x Mobo
460W p/s

Which of the two cards is the most reliable and which one will be the most efficient in my system.

Note, I have never had any power troubles, there has always been enough juice for it.

I don't know the brand name of your PSU, so I'm assuming its probably not very good.

The HD 3850 is easily better and pummels the HD 3650 (I own the former).

The HD 3650 is more efficient for your rig. However, the HD 3850 AGP requires a lot of power to run properly, most of which older PSU's have trouble with, and even if you got the HD 3850 AGP to work, it'd be severely bottlenecked by that Xp 3200+

I'd say forget buying either, start saving up for a bit of a newer rig.

Call me a suck up but I have to agree with vernong1992 with this one. It'd be nicer if you were to get a new rig altogether. Seems like some things are out dated
