System Requirements

Hi everyone,
I am buying a computer so I can play Sims 3 and I was wondering if you could tell me if it will run sims 3 without any problems.

This is The minimum requirements from EA games.
FOR WINDOWS XP
* Windows XP (Service Pack 2)
* 2.0 GHz P4 processor or equivalent
* 1 GB RAM
* At least 6.5 GB of hard drive space with at least 1 GB additional space for custom content
* 128 MB Video Card with support for Pixel Shader 2.0

And This Is what I have:
*Netpro N400 Amd gaming desktop pc
*Windows XP SP3
*2.7ghz Dual Core Cpu
*4gb DDR2 800Ram,
*500gb Sata Hard disk.
*1gb DDR2 Geforce 9500GT Graphics card

any help would be muchly appreciated.

yes it will run the sims 3 fine at a res up to 1680x1050. anything higher and you will have some lag. with that card you will not be able to max out the game but you will be able to play it fine at medium settings.

You know, that tool is nifty, but it doesn't pick up my 3450 crossfired with my 3300, it just seems my 3300. D: That isn't cool.

Thank you Very Much, But would you know what sort of card I would need to run it at its maximum?

something along the lines of a 9800GT/HD 4830/HD 4770 paired with the right CPU could max it out.

just for some info the pc in my sig will run it maxed at 1680x1050 and average around 100FPS, which is more than enough playable.
