Here are my temps using real temp. I think I applied past wrong. These seem hot!

Yep a bit hot. What heatsink are you using? what are ambient temps?

I would remount. Assuming stock vcore of 1.25.

Yeah stock... I have the xigmatek dark knight. It is pretty warm in this room. I will open a window and test again in the morning. How long does ArticSilver 5 last in a package?

With that cooler I would expect around 12-15C above ambient temps on idle. I have some AS5 in a sealed tube that is 6 years old and is still fine.

Okay... I must have applicated it wrong. I spread it with a old debit card around the base of the cooler. I will re mount. Here are temps at ambient temp.

better but what are your ambient temps?

Ambient temperature is the temp of the room that the computer is in.
Based upon your idle temp I would say room temp should be around 30C or 86F

Right now the room is around 70f

They run a bit hot but It would be nice to have it idle in the high 30'sC

They are still acceptable temps. I idle at 39C at 3.4

Okay.. I'm not even oc'ed any. I will get this reapplied when I get back monday. What I have is ceramic artic silver 5. Its what I had lying around from the days of fixing RROD on xbox360's. Should I get some other type of Thermal paste?
