I have selected the following parts for a computer build for my Dad. The computer is mainly used to browse the web, check email, and light gaming (Yahoo games, etc.). I believe he has 1.7GHZ processor and a total of 40GB memory. The following is intended as an upgrade (Even though most internal parts are being replaced). I figured I'd see what other people thought of the selection. Thanks for your opinions in advance.

CPU

Hard Drive
Motherboard or Motherboard (Leaning towards Gigabyte motherboard)
PSU
RAM

The following parts he has:
Case
Optical Drives
Microsoft XP
Monitor
Mouse
Keyboard
Speakers

Thanks again.

So did you select the alternate motherboard because it has a DVI connection? Just wondering if there was something wrong with the two I have selected (no my feelings aren't hurt at all, just curious.) Thanks.

Well this board is a better quality one, a. because it uses a 780g chipset like the ECS but b. its not crappy like the ECS :)

That board is actually one of the better 780g's as far as I know
