Hello, I had a question regarding RAM. I am wanting to know if it would be better to use two 1GB cards or one 2GB card. Would I get more performance out of one setup versus the other? Or would it not really matter in the end. I am looking at the following from Newegg:

Newegg.com - G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-6400CL5D-2GBNQ - Desktop Memory

Newegg.com - G.SKILL 2GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Desktop Memory Model F2-6400CL5S-2GBPQ - Desktop Memory

Thanks for the input.

cas4 vs cas5 but yeah it is cheaper. I guess it would depend upon OC settings and if their board can run 1066.

memory speed is more important than latencies nowadays, but fast latencies are nice to have. And I'll bet money the DDR2 1066 will at those faster latencies if his mobo doesn't support 1066 and he has to run at 800. And I'm thinking the odds are he'll be able to run 1066 :D

And I bet the blacks will run at 1066 cas5 maybe 4 but we digress.

You set is cheaper and in this situation probably the best buy. :)
