Wire management (External)

Hello everyone. How do you manage your cables? External, not internal. I was just wondering about the different techniques. Nothing drives me crazier then having to sit down and have everything be untidy.

Besides strategically placed zip ties.... there's really not a whole lot you can do. Wires are wires. Unless you want to go completely wireless.

You can also get the flexible plastic tubes or velcro straps designed for wire management.

Hook and Loop Fastener , Cable Ties, Computer Cable Organizers, Rubber Grommet, Velcro Cable Ties, Wire Wrap
all kinds of other good stuff here just take a look around and you should get some ideas.

The problem I have is that I am always moving stuff around so they are more of a pain when I need to move wires.

I have a desk that has holes in it for routing wires, and they are mostly out of view, so other than things like headset, keyboard, mice, ipod and external hdd.... come to think of it that is still a lot of clutter =[

Anyway, my 4.1 speakers, monitor, power, ethernet, and printer cables are routed through the desk and have zip ties in strategic locations to prevent tangling.
