This is my current rig:

Intel Q6600 @ 3Ghz (HSF is tall COOLER MASTER RR-CCH-L9U1-GP 92mm Hyper TX2 CPU Cooler)
ASUS P5K-E/WIFI-AP
Corsair 550VX
250gb Seagate Barracuda
1 Tb WD Caviar Green (probably will buy another one in the next year...)
4gb DDR2 G.Skill 1066
ASUS Geforce 9600 GT

Id like to upgrade my graphics and i need a new case to put it all in. budget should be around $250. Thanks

What sort of case do you have in mind? A full tower like my HAF932 or something smaller like an Antec 900?

Graphics-wise a GTX260 or HD4870 would be best bang for buck, though depending on what case you get you might want to consider a GTX275 (or 280) or HD4890.

i have a full tower (thats been recycled too many times...) now, so that would be fine. also, my monitor is 22" at 1680x1050

For that res I would recommend either a 4850 or 4870 depending on what you can swing budget wise. If you go the 4870 route go for the 1gig. The 512meg really isn't different enough form the 4850 to warrant it imo.

I would recommend this card in particular
Newegg.com - XFX HD-487A-ZHFC Radeon HD 4870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards
The warranty covers overclocking.

If you get the Antec 300 you will be well under budget
Newegg.com - Antec Three Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Computer Cases

Another option is the Storm Scout
Newegg.com - COOLER MASTER Storm Scout SGC-2000-KKN1-GP Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Computer Cases
It is a new and more advanced case. I would give it serious consideration.

it's your call.
