Hey, this is my first post on this forum and I would like some help.

I am looking for a PC with which I can play games like Mass Effect, Left 4 Dead and Crysis.

I found one on ebay and the seller has listed the specs as following:

Mother Board: Gigabyte GA-965P-S3 (3 PCI, 3 PCI-E x1, 1 PCI-E x16, 4 DDR2 DIMM, Audio, Gigabit LAN) = has the most up to date FIRMWARE F14
CPU= Intel Core 2 E6550
Memory: 2gb of DDR2-800
GPU: BFG NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT (512 MB) OC2- this is the overclocked version by BFG, which I Bought Last December
Case: Run of the mil case as you can see from the pics below. It comes with 3 - 80mm fans. One on the top one will go in the back and one on the side of the case.
The back of the case can fit a 120mm fan. And i will throw in the fan speed controller fitted on the top of the case. This controls the top fan speed
Power: Corsair VX550 -550 watt
HDD: Maxtor 6V160E0 ATA Device (160 GB, 7200 RPM, SATA-II)
DVD Drive: SONY DVD RW DW-Q120A its a Dual Layer Burner connection via round blue IDE cable
I have an extra 4 usb ports via a pci card in the case.

I would appreciate any help you could offer me, alternatively if this spec is not up to scratch I have a target budget of up to £450 maximum so any suggestions would be welcome. :D Thankyou for your time.

hi there,

i wouldn't buy a pc off ebay because you don't know how the parts have been treated, sometimes the sellers have limited, if any, warranty, and just for the fact that its ebay.

for the gpu, when i read it, it sounds like you already have it and were planning to use it in this pc, is that what you were gonna do?

if anything, you could take that money and build your own rig, and you will be sure of what parts you are getting. and if any one parts fails, you can RMA that one part.

heres a build that you could get for £450

Nice build muffin

Personally i would use the 8800GT he already has and use those funds to get a phenom x4 and 2 more gigs of ram.

:D thx

well, i guess it depends on what he will decide to get. i think having a better gpu will improve gaming more than having a quad core and 2 more gigs of ram.
