Does anyone know if I can install XP on it?

XP would work fine on it. Personally I'd stick Ubuntu on it.

If you are looking for Xp drivers for that laptop, then go to Acer Europe Website for the drivers. They are the most up to date and complete of all the acer support websites


Personally i would be looking around at some other brands besides acer

the canadian site shows only vista drivers

Same for E.U.

Hmmmmmmmm........ that can be tricky then. You will need to contact the chipset manufactures. That can be difficult.

The recovery disks are easy. Make sure you have a few blank DVDs handy and follow the prompts.
