Dimension 4100, PCI network card problems

I just reinstalled Windows XP Pro on a Dell Dimension 4100. Now I can't get it to recognize the PCI network card. Before I reinstalled Windows, it was working fine on XP Home. I looked on Dell's website for a chipset driver but all the downloads are for Windows 2000 and it will not work on XP.

I don't think it is a motherboard problem because it has a sound card installed and it works fine. I have tried turning the pc on without the card installed, shut it off, installed the card and turned it back on trying to get Windows to recognize it but it will not.

BTW, the network card is a Belkin Wireless G model # f5d7000. I do not have the cd for the network card or the pc.

does the network card appear in the device manager? you could try downloading the cards' drivers from belkin's website.
