What kind of CPU cooler do you have?
I have stock cooler, but it looks okay

Which I think is good, that is how much safety margin I have I believe

I think ich is southbridge, seems way too hot. Touched heat sink, is appreciably warmer than other sinks. Don't know why that one is overheating. I am testing computer with side off, I'm not supposed to but shouldn't cause that much trouble, right?
replaced mobo removed tabs from mobo outlets, see how that goes.

Are you able to get to the desktop at all?
I've changed the psu, that seems to have fixed the starting issue. I figured the psu had moving parts and would be effected by being turned, and now I don't have starting problems.
The southbridge was probably what was causing it to shut down. It runs awful hot. Now I have a fan blowing on it directly so temps stabilize at 64c, but without the fan just idling it goes to 80s.
