First Gaming Rig

I'm building this pc and I want to know how well it is. I will probably be overclocking. If you want to suggest something then try to find them on this website. I chose this site because I can pick them up from a local store without having to bother with shipping. The resolution I'm going to be using is probably going to be 1280x1024 for a 17" monitor. And I don't plan to do any SLI/Crossfire.

Here are the parts I came up with:

For the OS I might have my Vista somewhere but if I don't have it I'll just use Windows 7.

you're better off with this ram

The ram you mentioned was out of stock at any nearby stores. Would these be okay as a replacement?

As for the CPU and GPU, I'll go with your suggestion. Also, will the PSU and case I picked out be okay for a little OCing?

in that case, get this set instead

also, if you plan on OCing, you should look into a better cpu cooler than the stock one. and that psu should work for some OCing.

might i suggest the zerotherm ZEN cpu cooler?

its big but my amd phenom II X4 940 is running 17C idle temps, i havent checked load temps yet but its effin cold

^^ what are your ambient temps?
What are your temps under load while running prime?

I find 17C at idle a bit hard to believe unless ambient temps are around 7C.
