i bought a full version of UT2k4...

i have tried many copy methods but none worked except alcohol 120%

i made a complete cd dump of the play disc, and burnd it to a sony CD-R

i tried it on my pre-installed version of UT, but i didnt run but came up with a box, please insert the original disc instead of the backup.......

now that means that the disc in the drive is VALID but doesnt work with my installation, this might be caused by UT2K4 checking the play disc Serial No or something, to the copied Cd's serial NO, and ofcoarse that is something alcohol 120% could not dump.

now if i dumped every cd with alcohol 120, as a backup, could i install and use it with the copied cd's, since it doesnt recognise the disc as a incorrect copy.... just as not the same disc, a backup instead

it might be able to work but you will have to make sure that you are using the same security on the disc that you are buning to and coping dummy files if any
