New Phenom build help

Alright so i've decided on this water cooler.

Swiftech H20-220 Apex Ultima Liquid Cooling Kit (Universal Mount / LGA 1366 Included) - FrozenCPU.com

From what I've heard swiftech makes quality water cooling products. As we speak they are sending me the AM2 plate for the water block.

I plan to mount the double rad on the side of the case by removing the fan on the side panel.

My next major decision is the video card

I have heard that the 4890 is not a good "bang for buck" card and that crossfiring two lesser cards equals the same price and has greater performance effects.

If i was going to go with a 4890 card i need help choosing a brand name.

From what i heard XFX is the best as far as warranties go. I have heard they support overclocking in there warranty and have a double life time warranty.

While asus and diamond only have two year warranties there cards by default have higher clock speeds.

This is the article i read

http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/foru...90-roundup-asus-diamond-his-sapphire-xfx.html

Dont worry about the the card with higher clocks, you can reach those by yourself most of the time, diamond is a good brand but xfx is better, and they also make higher clocked cards with a premium. I would go for the HIS
Newegg.com - HIS H489F1GP Radeon HD 4890 1GB 256-bit PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards
awesome deal with the rebate atm, otherwise go with this xfx
Newegg.com - XFX HD-489A-ZDFC Radeon HD 4890 1GB 256-bit DDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards
As long as your card is working in the first two years it probably wont just die on you anyway, by the time it does, you wont be using it anymore. But if you are really self conscious about the warranty go for the xfx. You should be able to reach very nice clocks with the 4890.
oh and also, it IS worth every cent for todays prices, great card for the money.

That card you linked is pretty pricy on newegg.ca

I think the XFX from ncix is the best value.

I found a cheap corsair PSU on ncix 850W for 119,99

you guys think that will support another gpu in the future and some heavy overclocking potential?

What kind of timings and voltages should i be looking for in ram.

I was going to go with g.skill or mushkin, are those good brands of ram?

EDIT:

So i think i have a final build in mind. NCIX is having some killer sales that end on the 29th so i want to get in on that.

The basic difference between 790FX and 790GX/790X is the amount of PCI-E lanes.
790FX allows you to use 2 x PCI-E 16X slots at 16X bandwidth
790X/790GX allow you to use one PCI-E 16 slot at 16X, or two 16X slots at 8X each

I don't think it really makes any difference when crossfiring current cards though.

But, the Asus M4A79 Deluxe is a very good board for overclocking.
