Ram Issues

This is my specs
Mobo is ECS GeForce7050M-M ECS Web Site
Ram is Patriot Memory Patriot Extreme Performance DDR2 1GB PC2-6400 Patriot Memory - Products
Cpu AMD Althon 64 x2 5000+

I have onboard video right now
The issue i am having is that i have one ram installed already, when i put my second ram in the computer will turn on, but will not boot, doesn't show anything on the moniter. if i jump the cmos to reset, the video will turn on. but after that put the jumper back, then nothing. How can i resolve this?

Sounds to me that the second module you're trying to fit is dead. Try it on it's own to see if it'll boot.

I tried that, forgot to mention it, both memory modules run fine by themselves but not together.

Are they the same make and speed, if not they may just have compatibility issues for some strange reason. Other than that I'd say your mobo is slowing dieing one section at a time.

I'd mention timings as well as speed (unless by speed you mean MHz+timings).
