Graphics Card question

Any of those cards are really going to be overkill then. You would be safe with like a 4890 or gtx 260.

720p televisions are 1280×720 which requires even less gpu power. Your 19" monitor is higher res, and will tax your rig more than your 37" TV.

Oh, and my 37" tv is 1080p by the way. So what you're saying is my monitor would take more gpu power to get the graphics that the geforce will give?

EDIT: What about a Radeon 4870? It has a low memory interface (256 bit), so is that bad?

a 1080p runs a resolution around 1920 x 1080. (this varies a little from tv to tv so check your specs for your tv.)

I game at 1920x1200 on a 24" monitor with a gtx260. Short of Crysis I can max out most games.
Would I like a better card? You know it give me a GTX295 any day of the week.
Can I afford it? No.
Do I really need it? not really. But, If I could afford it I would.

So there is a convoluted answer for you.

I looked up the gtx 260 SC and it looks really great for its price. I'm like $200 over my budget, so using the 260 instead of a 285 would be great I think. I'll get that.

Thanks for your help!
