Graphics Card question

EDIT: so which graphics card should I get? I'm trying to get one that costs less than the gtx 285 now that I'm going to build an i7, because now I'm over my budget. My budget was around 1100 or maybe even 1200, and the cost right now is $1321 with a gtx 285, so I need to downgrade my gpu.

EDIT: Getting a gtx 260 most likely. Maybe a Radeon 4870.

Although the GTX 285 is very fast...it's not very good bang/buck in my opinion....I would recommend this card instead as it's significantly cheaper and not very far behind in terms of performance:

That card is already overclocked and takes up a heck of a lot of voltage.

What? It's overclocked a bit yeah, which is a good thing...and it runs at the same voltage....

You realize it uses less power than the GTX 285? And can be overclocked to GTX 285 performance or even past it...?

Oh, I read somewhere that the max wattage for the gtx 285 was like ~200, and for the 275 its ~350

But even though the 275 can be overclocked close to the 285, the 285 isnt overclocked yet, and can go OC from where its at. Is that right?

The only difference between the 2 cards is the memory interface and memory really. One is 448bit and the other is 512bit, one is 896mb while the other is 1gb.

I can tell you that the 285 is not 100 dollars better than the 275 no matter how you look at it really.

At what resolution do you game?
