I like to custom MOD my own. So any case will do, or any object big enough for computer parts will do really. ;-)

Yeah, I like to custom mod too. I want to make my next one a really unique color...gold, bronze, something like that. And a window into a shape of like...Halo :D

Chieftech has always been good to me. The DRAGON series cases are awsome. We use them all over the office because they're solid, roomy, look professional, and are inexpensive (relatively).

Those look like good cases...especially for modding.:D

I use Antec, Ahanix, and Thermaltake. I have a steel Antec Full tower for my server.
simular to this:

The Thermal take is this:

The Xaser is used for my gaming rig
and the Ahanix is this:

The D.Vine 5 is used for the HTPC setup
The Antec is a good case cause it offers a very simple instalation method for drives and optical equipment. The Thermaltake is great for gaming cause of all the heat transfer designs the implement. THe Ahanix is the perfect HTPC case. It fits right in with the components in my system and looks really cool besides. Made of thick aluminum, so it is very quiet, yet light too, plus has the integrated remote system which is very cool. But you don't want to mod a $250 case, well not much any way...
I like the Antec Line as they always seem to be very solid chassis and with their TruePower PS, life is good.

So do you think windows are cool or just a gimick? I mean would you rather see the inside of your case with lights, or a clean looking case with external lights?
Depends on where you're gonna put it. I mean, I know people who spent like $200-300 on a fancy case with lots of lights and crap, and then found out they keep it under their desk or in a closet! Any machine I'm never going to look at on a regular basis, is NOT going to have money wasted on it putting in glass and lights and shyt.

This new case I bought has a clear side because it's gonna sit in view on a shelf next to my desk. I still don't know if I'm gonna put lighting in it, though. The PSU has lights, but that was just a "came with" not an intentional buy.

Maybe some nice rounded UV-lighted cables and a little UV paint inside? Hmm...Gonna hafta think about it for a bit.
