need help with laptop wireless

hey all, i dunno whats up with my wireless internet. since i got my computer (vista 32-bit) i have kind had problems with it connecting to the internet wirelessly. but usually disabling the wireless and restarting it would fix it. when i took it abroad we got wireless but it was through something called wi-tribe. basically the three of us used the my computer to send the wireless signal to the other two guys i lived with through the wi-tribe device.

since then, and now my wireless will pick up signals and connect to the networks but wont go through to the internet (in the management thing, it shows the first two icons as connected and the internet wont be connected). when i click diagnose it always says DNS error or something to that extent. any ideas?

I would uninstall and install the latest drivers for your wifi device.

how do i install them when it wont connect to the internet? just like save them to a jump drive from a different computer?

yep. whatever computer you are using down download the drivers, copy them to a usb drive and move them over.
