OK, Just put them in and as someone said they've booted as 800Mhz RAM at PC2-6400 Speed. Now, I thought that it would be an easy case of altering the BIOS, BUT when I went in the Tra/Trd/Tras was all set correct 5/5/15. The only problem i can see is the Voltage. BUT I don't have a 1.8v/1.9v/2.0/2.1 selection on my Gigabyte P35/S3g Mobo. The option is +0.1v / +0.2v etc, and BIG red lettering warning that it'sNOT a good idea to mess with the voltages. I have Upped the FSB so speed of CPU gone to 3.5Ghz (E6600 C2D) and RAM at 1068. I take it though that it would be better to change the Voltage ONLY on the RAM? Daft Q, do I go for 0.4v as they say it should have 2.2v
IF anyone out there has a Gigabyte GA-P35-S3G mobo and know how to change these settings that would be great. in the Forum where I bought the RAM someone said you need to cange the DIMM to PC2-8500, Can't see this option in the BIOS? I've run CPU-Z for the timings, again don't know if that's good?
