So my parents are going to buy me a new computer but I have no idea what to get, it has to be a prebuilt machine my father is old fashion and wont let me build my own. I am going to use it mostly for gaming, the price range is around 600-1000$ range, I have no idea what brand to go with I was thinking Ibuypower.com.

I saw this thing iBuypower LAN Warrior what you think?

Thank you.

If you are going for a prebuilt, ibuypower is one of the best.

Tell your dad he is not old fashion.

Back in the day you could not buy prebuilts. You had to build your own.

Now that is old fashion.

Lol then if ibuypower is the way to go what do you think of the Lan warrior? or could you recommend one for around 600-700$? my father has not come out yet on how much hes willing to pay but I really don't want to go over 1000$.

I do not like the lan warrior case myself but that is a personal preference.

It appears that one only comes with the i7 which is great but out of your price range.

If you can look for one with a PhenomII x3 720
or Intel e8400 cpus as these will be closer to your price range.

You may need to drop down on your gpu and cpu to get inside your budget and upgrade later.

I got a lan warrior custom for 1047$ with a i7 quad and 6 gigs of ram, that price includes shipping.
As far as prebuilt computer goes is this a good price?

I'm open for anything.

And I do like it's case ^_^.

Not a bad price for an i7.

I just thought you wanted it around $600 to $700.

Would love to see the full specs of your build.

I had a little battle with my internt service and lost my connection for few days but now I am back.
I was wondering what would be better a good duo or a cheaper quad processor?

and for that lan warrior build.

intel i7 920 quad processor 2.66GHz/8mb L3 Cache

Asus Rampage II Gene Intel X58 Chipset CrossFire and SLI Supported w/7.1 SupremeFX X-Fi Sound, Triple-Channel DDR3, Gb LAN, S-ATA Raid, Dual PCI-E MB

6 GB [2 GB X3] DDR3-1333 Triple Memory Module Corsair

duel Nividia Geforce 9500GT

500 gig hard drive

700 watt power supply

with vista sadly

Total 1031.00 (with shipping)

Drop the 9500's and get a ATI 4870/4850/4770. Any would give you much better performance and the 4850/4770 would save a little money.
