HD 3870 x2 error saying it's outdated when trying to play L4D. How do i fix this?

ive uninstalled n then reinstalled the 9.5 Catalyst driver, doesnt fix it. I've reinstalled Vista, that didnt fix it. What is the best driver sweeper i can get? I cant RMA my graphics card, it has MX-2 on it. Is there anything i can do besides trying to buy a new graphics card? I've RMAed my mobo, my CPU is fine, my RAM is fine, my sound card is alright, and my HDD is fine. Wtf is going on here?? I cant even play Left 4 Dead anymore let alone start it up to the menu screen!

fixed it! I reinstalled Left 4 Dead n i can run it again. However, the "outdated" error still shows up.

Ya, its just an error about drivers, that comes up even with the latest drivers on all Steam games.. as far as I know, there is no fix for it, except that "Don't show this message"

However, it should still let you continue playing man...

EDIT: best driver cleaning software is Driver Cleaner Pro (its not free anymore, but the older versions are abandonware and Afterdawn still has it)
